There are two free events on Wednesday evening, the Ventura County Classical Guitar Society meeting in Camarillo which will feature Jack Cimo, and the Artisan Guitar Ensemble who will perform at the Cerritos library. Then on Saturday evening the American Guitar Society holds its monthly meeting in Valley Glen, also free, and Steven Thachuk appears in a recital at Cal State Northridge. Also on Saturday evening (and again on Sunday afternoon) the star flamenco dancer Eva Yerbabuena performs at the Irvine Barclay Theater...and where there's flamenco dance there's likely to be guitar. ;-) Finally, on Sunday afternoon the incomparable LA Guitar Quartet appear at the SOKA Performing Arts Center in Aliso Viejo - an LAGQ performance is always worth a trip, and for those of you who haven't already been there the venue is really fine.
