The world-renown lutenist Paul O'Dette is in southern California this week, he's offering a Master Class for USC's guitar students tomorrow (Thursday) at noon, free to auditors, and three recitals on Sunday afternoon in Beverly Hills (the Da Camera Society events are pricey and limited, but there seem to still be seats available). Also on Sunday afternoon, the Pasadena Conservatory of Music offers a concert given by young guitarists.
And here's an announcement with more information about next spring's Festival and Competition that I mentioned a few months ago:
To Southern California Guitar Enthusiasts:

This event, taking place at Chapman University, will feature concerts by Manuel Barrueco and GFA winner Tengyue Zhang, adult and youth competitions, lectures by Frank Koonce, Jack Sanders and Jonathan Kellerman, a vendor fair, and much more!
