There is just one event on this week's calendar, a recital by The Bradley Trio (violin, guitar and piano) on Tuesday evening at Rio Hondo College in Whittier. The Orange County Guitar Circle's Members' Showcase which was scheduled for this Saturday has unfortunately been cancelled, in keeping with Chapman's exhortation to minimize any public gatherings. Just three events on this week's schedule beginning with two free ones on Wednesday evening, Benjamin Shearer is featured at the Ventura County Classical Guitar Society's monthly meeting in Camarillo, and Mircea Gogoncea, winner of the First OC Guitar Competition last year, presents his Doctoral recital at USC. Then on Saturday evening in Valley Glen the world-renown lutenist Ronn McFarlane offers a recital at LA Valley College. Complicated schedule this week... Thursday noon at USC Alexander Dunn offers a Master Class, free for auditors, and on Saturday evening he performs in recital at Cal State Northridge. On Friday evening at USC the always wonderful Adam del Monte presents a student showcase, a classical music recital for students in USC's Guitar Studio program, also free to the public.
