Another busy week beginning Wednesday afternoon at Cal State Northridge with a free demonstration/workshop on Flamenco guitar given by the composer/guitarist Vahagni. On Thursday at UC Riverside, Pepe Romero appears in a free duo performance with pianist Ana Benavides, this may be distant for many of us but it's a rare opportunity! On Friday afternoon Laura Mazon Franqui gives a recital in Cathedral City, and on Saturday evening the American Guitar Society holds its monthly meeting in Valley Glen, free as always. Busy week starting with three Master Classes by Pepe Romero at USC on Monday and Tuesday (today and tomorrow), free as always to auditors. Wednesday evening is the free meeting of the Ventura County Classical Guitar Society in Camarillo featuring the Cal State LA Guitar Ensemble with Satik Andriassan, and on Thursday evening the USC Classical Guitar Department offers its Chamber Music Showcase, also free.
