Virgile Barthe, Featured Artist Concert
On September 19th at 8pm, The Orange County Guitar Circle will host its first Featured Artist Concert of the 2026-2027 season.
2025 GFA Winner Virgile Barthe is regarded as one of the most promising emerging artists on the classical guitar scene. He began his studies at the Toulouse Conservatory under the guidance of Benoît Albert before being admitted, at the age of 17, to the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris. There, he is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in the class of Judicaël Perroy. He has also benefited from the mentorship of distinguished guitarists including Gabriel Bianco and Olivier Chassain.
An award-winning musician, Barthe gained international recognition at an early age, earning major distinctions from the age of 16. In 2024, he was awarded First Prize at the prestigious Maurizio Biasini International Competition, appearing as a soloist with the Sinfonieorchester Basel. The following year, he secured top prizes at both the Koblenz International Guitar Competition (Germany) and the Guitar Foundation of America International Concert Artist Competition (USA), two of the most esteemed competitions in the classical guitar world.

Sanel Redžić, Featured Artist Concert
On November 21st at 8pm, The Orange County Guitar Circle will host its second Featured Artist Concert of the season.
Sanel Redžić is a celebrated classical guitarist renowned for his extraordinary technical command, profound musicality, and captivating stage presence. Hailed as one of the most versatile and accomplished guitarists of his generation, Redžić has earned international acclaim with performances spanning over 30 countries across Europe, Asia, North and South America, and beyond.
Born in 1988, in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sanel began studying guitar at the age of eight, completing his early music education with top honors. He further honed his artistry at the Hochschule für Musik “Franz Liszt” in Weimar, where he earned his graduate, master’s, and Konzertexamen degrees.
Described by critics as a “guitar player with impressive skills” (Jazzthetik, Germany) and “an outstanding representative of the young guitar generation with unusual musical maturity” (Bonner Meisterkonzerte, Germany), Redžić consistently captivates audiences with his repertoire that spans baroque masterpieces to contemporary compositions.
