Jennifer Kim, Featured Artist Concert
On February 21st at 8pm, The Orange County Guitar Circle will host its third Featured Artist Concert of the 2025-2026 season.
Guitarist Jennifer Kim is recognized for her virtuosic technique and expressive sensitivity. Her repertoire centers on technically demanding works, with a particular affinity for solo music by Barrios-Mangoré and Tárrega, using the guitar as a medium for storytelling and emotional depth.
Jennifer has appeared as a soloist in Rodrigo’s Concierto de Aranjuez with the Mill Valley Philharmonic and performed at venues including the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion, Sarasota Opera House, and the American Guitar Society’s 90th Gala Celebration. She has also participated in the world premiere of Jordan Chase’s Between Earth and Sky and the Baltimore premiere of Sergio Assad’s Giornata a Nettuno with the Barrueco Studio Ensemble.
An award-winning artist, Jennifer was the youngest Open Division winner of the Indiana International Guitar Competition and a recipient of the Jack Kent Cooke Young Artist Award. She holds both a Bachelor of Music and a Master of Music in Guitar Performance from the Peabody Institute, where she studied with Manuel Barrueco.

W.E. Duo, Featured Artist Concert
On April 18th at 8pm, The Orange County Guitar Circle will host its fourth and final Featured Artist Concert of the season.
W.E. Duo is the violin guitar duo formed by guitarist Erdong Li and violinist Weiru Sheng. They have performed throughout America and China together and have been acclaimed everywhere from Shenzhen Grant Theater to Beijing Music Video, from Liaoning International Guitar Festival to CSU Guitar Symposium. In their summer touring season, they have been invited for more than 15 concerts every summer all over in China and America, including major concert hall and international level festival and competitions. After hearing W.E. Duo’s playing, guitar artist Lorenzo Micheli said: “They will be one of the major voices in chamber music in the future.” And the Italian artist Bandini and Chiacchiaretta has given many of their transcriptions to W.E. Duo. W.E. Duo recorded their first CD “History of Tango” in 2018 after the first tour they did, and the album won silver prize in the Global Music Awards.
